Priscilla Presley was spotted attending her twin granddaughters’ graduation ceremony, where Harper and Finley celebrated their milestone. However, noticeably absent from the event was their older sister, Riley Keough.
Following the middle school commencement, Priscilla, the former wife of Elvis Presley, walked separately from the girls and their father, Michael Lockwood, on Saturday. The 14-year-old twins seemed joyful as they conversed with their dad, who recently gained full custody of them after their mother, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away in January.
Regrettably, Keough did not join her younger sisters on their graduation day.
The ceremony took place a few days after Priscilla, 77, and the 33-year-old “Lodge” actress reportedly settled the dispute over Lisa Marie’s trust. The agreement resulted in the “Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad” actress being granted “millions” from her late daughter’s estate. Details of the settlement were not disclosed in court, and both parties are expected to request that the agreement be sealed, according to TMZ.
Priscilla expressed her satisfaction with the resolution in a written statement on Page Six, stating, “My family has resolved all confusion surrounding our plea to the court and our request for document interpretation following my daughter Lisa Marie’s untimely passing.”
She clarified that there was never a lawsuit filed against her beloved granddaughter, emphasizing the unity within the family during this challenging time. Priscilla requested privacy to properly grieve Lisa Marie and spend personal time with her loved ones. She expressed gratitude and love to everyone, assuring that the Presley family has grown stronger through it all. Her lawyer, Justin Gold, informed CNN that his client was “very content” with the outcome.
After Lisa Marie’s passing at the age of 54 due to cardiac arrest, reports emerged regarding tensions within the family regarding her estate. Keough and her brother, Benjamin, were initially named as beneficiaries in their mother’s trust. However, when Benjamin tragically died by suicide in July 2020, Riley became the sole living heir of Lisa Marie’s estate.
Priscilla contested her late daughter’s will, arguing that a “purported 2016 amendment” that removed her and business manager Barry Siegel as trustees were not legally valid. A friend of Lisa Marie previously claimed that Priscilla’s actions were motivated by a desire for money, while Priscilla maintained that she was simply trying to preserve family unity.
Unfortunately, there are reports suggesting a strained relationship between Priscilla and her eldest granddaughter. An insider revealed that Riley and Priscilla are not speaking and their relationship is changing. The situation is described as sad, particularly as Riley could use the support of her grandmother during this time.
